Mid January already

Hello and welcome to the computers with ease podcast where we talk about all things related audio and video.

Today I thought I would talk about something a little different. It’s the middle of January now it’s back to work for all of us, and no doubt you have a whole bunch of work waiting for you.

One of the other things that I know that I did over the holidays was look at some of my goals for 2020 and now that were already halfway through the first month of the year. I’m finding myself going, how am I doing in achieving the goals that I’ve set and my meeting the timelines that I had initially thought the work would get done by?

Already at this point I’m realizing that some of my timelines were somewhat unrealistic. I had so many ideas about putting out a podcast every week and being more regular with that and at this point, it hasn’t happened yet. So my progress has not been as consistent and as fast as I would like it.

How is your progress going on your goals? Have you had to make any changes or adjustments to not only your goals, but the timelines that you set for achieving your goals are you on track?

Certainly, I’m not on track with where I would like to be. I’ve definitely had to make some adjustments and altering the scheduling and order of some of the things that I’m working on again to do with the podcasts and my website and so on. And I certainly don’t think I’m the only one who is feeling the time crunch and anxiety of I’m not meeting my projections at this point and were early on in 2020.

As I sit here today doing this podcast, I remember that no matter what when you look at this type of thing, there’s two things that I remember and that hopefully everyone else will find useful as well. The first is be kind to yourself as you evaluate where you are with the work that you’re doing. The second thing is stay focused on your goals and what’s important to you.

The most important part of this is achieving your goals. You may not get there in the timeframe that you had initially planned, or get there the way you thought you would. But the important thing is that you achieve your goals or that you’re well on your way to achieving them, and can see how you are going to achieve them. I hope this is been helpful for you and the thank you very much for listening.
